Documents You Need to Get Voter ID APPLY
You must also have these documents ready before applying for a new voter ID.
1. Your age proof (At least 1)
- 10th marks sheet
- PAN
- AADHAR
2. A proof that you live at this address (At least 1)
- AADHAR
- Utility Bill
- Ration Card
- Passport
- Bank Statement
3. A passport picture. If you’re applying online, provide a recent photograph in the upload process. Please!
Make sure that all documents submitted have clear visibility otherwise they may delay your application.
How to Apply a New Voter ID Online
To get an application you must go to the NVSP site.
Once on the site:
Step ONE – Go to the site of the National Voters Service Portal.
Step TWO – Create a User Account
Create user account with the following information:
- Phone Number
- Email Address
- Verify via one-time password (OTP)
Step THREE – Fill out Form Number 6
Form Number 6 is for registering as a voting member for the first-time you’re voting.
You must list the following information when completing your application:
- Your name
- Your birthday
- Your sex
- Your address

Step FOUR – Upload the Required Documents
You must upload Age Proof, Residence Proof, and Enter your Photograph.
Step FIVE – After reviewing your application one final time, submit your application.
Once you submit your application you shall be given a reference number. Save this to track progress of applications.

2. Click On “Track Your Application Status”
3. Enter Your Reference Number
4. View Current Status
Your Current Status Will Show:
1. Pending Application
2. Approved Application
